Stéphane Malek
co-founder of the Monono agency
Winner of the 2014 Young Urbanists Award
Trained in the urban planning philosophy that came from geography as well as humanities and social sciences, Stéphane completed his training by studying landscaping, which allowed him to expand and enrich his vision and skills. He is passionate about the diverse and complementary approaches to space in general and cities in particular, working on projects, experiments and studies that explore urban spaces through the prism of the actors who use, inhabit and activate them. He combines field investigations, actions and strategies in a resolutely multidisciplinary approach.
Stéphane is also associate professor at the University Paris-Est Créteil, and lectures at various universities (Paris Sorbonne University, Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Ecole Spéciale d'Architecture, etc.).
