The 4th International Conference on Migration & Mobility takes place in Aberystwyth in July 2025. This three-day conference brings together scholars from a range of disciplinary perspectives to discuss the latest research in migration and mobilities. Contributions on any aspect of migration and mobilities research are welcome.

We invite submissions for 15-minute paper presentations on any aspects relating to mobility or migration.

We also invite submissions for short, 5-minute interventions for two panel-type discussions. These are on the following themes:

Mobility, migration, and the climate emergency;
Mobility, migration and (anti-)colonialism.

Mobility

For the Mobile Lives Forum, mobility is understood as the process of how individuals travel across distances in order to deploy through time and space the activities that make up their lifestyles. These travel practices are embedded in socio-technical systems, produced by transport and communication industries and techniques, and by normative discourses on these practices, with considerable social, environmental and spatial impacts.
