Maurie Cohen

Maurie Cohen is a Professor of Sustainability Studies and Chair of the Department of Humanities at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, a faculty member of the joint NJIT/Rutgers University PhD Program in Urban Systems, and Editor of the journal Sustainability: Science, Practice, and Policy. As a specialist in this field, he has helped forge a community of practice focused on the issue of sustainable consumption and is a member of the Management Team of the Future Earth Knowledge-Action Network on Systems of Sustainable Consumption and Production. His most recent books are The Future of Consumer Society (Oxford University Press, 2017) and Short Introductions Sustainability (Polity Press, 2021).
