Dominique Joye is Honorary Professor at the University of Lausanne. He wrote his thesis after studying political science at the University of Geneva. He then worked for sixteen years at the Research Institute of the Built Environment at the EPFL on questions of mobility and inequality, integrating social and spatial dimensions. He then directed the Swiss social science data archive in Neuchâtel, before being appointed professor of sociology at the University of Lausanne. He has also taken part in several international sociological survey programs such as the ISSP, the ESS and the EVS.
