Sébastien Michiels

Economist

Sébastien Michiels holds a Ph.d. in economics from the University of Bordeaux (UMR GREThA), supervised by François Combarnous (UMR 5113 GREThA) and Isabelle Guérin (IRD, UMR 245 CESSMA) and publicly defended on June 13, 2016. He is currently associate researcher with DIAL (UMR 225) and the Institut Français in Pondicherry (UMIFRE 21), where he directed several post-doctoral projects between 2016 and 2018. His research focuses on employment and mobility in South Asia. Recently, he worked on caste, class and gender discrimination in the Indian labor market.
