Madani Safar Zitoun

Madani Safar Zitoun is Professor of Urban Sociology in the Department of Sociology at the University of Algiers 2. He heads the LASADET laboratory dedicated to the socio-anthropological analysis of new urban behaviors in the Algerian city.

He is the author of numerous publications and scientific articles on Algerian urbanization, the evolutions and social reception of urban policies, as well as on mobility and social protection. Madani Safar Zitoun has been called upon as an expert by many international institutions (World Bank, UNDP, AFD, Unesco, GIZ, etc.) for the production and supervision of studies and research projects in Algeria and abroad.
