Samia Bentoudert

Sociologist

Samia Bentoudert, born in 1974 in Bologhine ibn-Ziri, is a sociology PhD student at the University of Algiers 2 (Algeria). Her research focuses on the daily mobility of women in Algiers, especially their trips from center to periphery, the crossing of "thresholds" and strategies for accessing public space. She is currently concentrating on the question of social gender, on people’s social representations of how urban space is used in the city of Algiers and on diversity in Algeria.
