Renate Albrecher, sociologist, is a research assistant at the Laboratory of Urban Sociology (LaSUR) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) and a doctoral student at the University of Bern. Her research interests include the appropriation of public space through walking and public seating, as well as the gendered city.
