Sonia Curnier is an architect-urban planner. She holds a PhD in urban sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). Between 2019 and 2022, she was a visiting researcher at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and then a postdoctoral researcher at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Alnarp/Malmö. She is currently a scientific collaborator at the Urban Sociology Laboratory of EPFL and an independent consultant. Her research and teaching interests include the design of public spaces, transdisciplinary collaborations and the place of children and youth in the city.
